The Challenge
Every year Meridian Township’s management team and township board outline goals for the upcoming year. In 2024, they had goals for complete construction and installation of the township’s new welcome signs as well as facility, wayfinding and park signage. The project included 56 new signs across the township with welcome signs at each gateway into Meridian Township, new facility and wayfinding signs at the Municipal Complex and the construction of all new park signs. A bid was sent out publicly for the project in search of a sign company that could complete the assignment.
The Solution
Johnson Sign Co. was awarded the business and got to work on the project right away. To efficiently and effectively complete the number of signs needed in the desired timeframe we split up the production process among our three production facilities each one focusing on an element of the sign like the masonry column bases, aluminum cabinets and structural frames. This allowed our team to focus on the craftmanship of the sign while also meeting outlined deadlines. The sign package covered a wide range of executions including monument signage, directional signage and EMCs all working together to deliver the Meridian Township image.
The Result
The project was manufactured and installed within the timeframe outlined to the client. The client was extremely pleased with the final product so much so that the project has significantly grown from the original assignment. We really enjoyed this project and the collaboration between JSC and Meridian Township!
